When is this happening?

Apple has announced that these changes will be released the week of 26th of April 2021.

How will this affect Advertising?

These changes will have massive implications on our ability to market, track, and understand data from our potential and current customers. You will still receive Leads and website visits from iOS devices, however, if they have opted out of data tracking this will limit the backend reporting. Facebook has released a document outlining how this exactly can affect Advertising on their platforms.

The main changes will be:

  1. Under reporting Results: Reporting age, gender, location, and ad placement will be removed.
  2. Delayed Reporting: Real-time reporting for iOS devices will not be supported, and data may be delayed up to 3 days.
  3. Audience Targeting Limitations: The size of your Ad audiences may decrease, and re-targeting will not be possible for those who have opted out.

What has MAMA done to help prepare?

We have followed all procedures from Facebook. This includes:

  • Verifying your domain. This ensures you’re set up and “official” to Facebook.
  • Set up Facebook Pixel. This ensures we are accurately reporting website leads and/or visits from Facebook Ads.

How can you help MAMA, help you?

Providing MAMA information about the leads received can help develop and optimise our ads to help control the quality of leads.

This can include:

  • Are the leads quality? E.g. Suitable age, income, location?
  • Are people asking the same questions when inquiring? E.g. where is this located?
